Health Care: Oyo State Government Hands Over 120 Generating Sets To Primary Health Centres In The State

Oyo state government has handed over 120 generating sets to 120 primary health care centre is the state as part of its initiative to renovate and upgrade every health centres in the 351 wards of the state.

The handover ceremony took place at the premises of the State Primary Health Care Board, Secretariat, Agodi, Ibadan.

Recall, just about a month ago, the state government delivered a first batch of 99 generating sets to 99 primary health centres in the state.

Commending the state Governor, Seyi Makinde for transforming the narrative of health care in the state,
the project facilitator and Special Adviser to the Governor on health, Dr. Funmi Salami, represented by the Technical Lead and Special Assistant to the Governor on Environment, Engr. Ademola Aderinto, charged the benefiting health centres to efficiently manage the facility.

In his welcome address, the Executive Secretary, Oyo State Primary Health Care Board, Dr. Muideen Olatunji, said the state government is focused on transforming all the primary health care in the 351 wards in the state.

Appreciating Governor Makinde for his tireless dedication to good governance in the state, the Chairman, Association of Local Government of Nigeria, ALGON, Hon. Sikiru Sanda and the Chairman, Oyo State Primary Health Care Board, Hon. Dada Awoleye, urged members of the public to keep supporting Gov. Makinde beyond 2023.

The event was attended by the Chairman, Olorunsogo local government, Mrs. Julianah Akanni, the chairman, Lagelu local government, Hon. Kazeem Gbadamosi among others.
